Tonight was my turn to make dinner. So I made Breakfast Burritos for dinner. :) It may not look it, but it is actually very yummy and very filling. Tonight's burrito had eggs, bell pepper, onion, sausage, bacon, swiss and cheddar cheese and some salsa. I forgot what I put it in the last time I made it but it still turned out okay. I think the trick is to put lots of cheese so it's gooey. The burrito turned out to be so big I couldn't even finish the whole thing!

157/365 - Nothin' much
Nothing much happened today. Same stuff, different day. I have a picture of Stitch today because nothing really happened and he looked so cute I just had to take a picture. So far with this blog, I've learned that you have to kind of make things happen to have an interesting day. It's like that song by John Lennon, "Life is what happens to you when your busy making other plans."I guess I will have to be more proactive with my picture taking.

156/365 - Jigsaw Puzzle
My Dad and I started putting together a jigsaw puzzle today. You have to tilt your head to the right to get the picture the right way because something is wrong with my phone. Sometimes when I take pictures it turns out sideways and for some reason, I have a hard time flipping it right side up in the computer.I like puzzle making cause it's relaxing and doesn't require a lot of thinking but you need to focus so it's not boring either.

155/365 - Puppy Popcorn
Went to Jelly's today to sell some books back. We only got $7.50 but it's better than nothing. Since we were in the area, we stopped by Crazy Canine to buy the boys some treats. I remembered they had some popcorn for dogs so we bought couple packs of those. They were only $1.95, so we got one cheddar flavored and one chicken flavored. They both seem to like it alot, although Stitch takes forever to eat just once piece. Poki gobbles them up and stares at you until you give him more. And it is so cute to hear them crunching on it!

154/365 - Zicam
For a couple day now, I've been feeling like I'm starting to get sick. A co-worker recommended that I try Zicam, so I went to the store tonight and bought some. It felt kinda weird to swab the inside of my nose. But lots of people say it works so I'll give it a try. So far my nose is just kinda of itchy and runny, but we'll see. Hopefully it works, because for some reason I always seem to get sick on Friday's. Maybe my immune system gets weakened throughout the week, but if this works then I won't have to spend my weekend sick.

153/365 - Beanie
The picture to the right is my new beanie. My Mom recently learned how to make it off of the internet. She printed up instructions and watched some videos. Pretty neat yeah! Looks really professional. I had wanted a hat like this but I wasn't willing to spend $20-$30 dollars on it, but now I have one that barely cost anything! she said she can make like two hats with one thing of yarn so that comes out to like $1 a hat! I guess I will have to pay for the labor costs of making one soon. :)

152/365 - Yogurtland
We went out with some small group friends for dinner at IHop tonight. After dinner we went over to Yogurtland. Everyone else had been to yogurt places before but this was my first time. My boyfriend and I got the two on the bottom. He got all chocolate stuff and I got a mix. It was 39 cents per ounce and we ended up spending $6.60. Not too bad.So I got in mine: half Heath yogurt with cookie dough and nuts on top and half lycee yogurt with gummy bears, fruity pebbles and kiwi on top. Yum!

151/365 - Orange Jello
I love jello! Especially orange jello. We recently started making jello more fun by making them in baking cups so we have individual jello. I totally recommend this because it so much easier to eat then having to scoop it out of a bowl and have to wash the dishes and spoon. We also put fruit in our jello to give it a little kick. This one has fruit cocktail, but my favorite is with mandarin oranges.

150/365 - Fireproof
I know this is the second day in a row I'm blogging about movies, but seriously, this was a great movie! We just watched Fireproof tonight and it's the first time in a while that I've watched a movie and was immersed in it. It's the best new movie I've seen in a while.Fireproof is about a fireman whose marriage is on the brink of divorce. His hope centers around a book called The Love Dare (which is also available in book stores) and the power of God's love.
I totally recommend that you go to the store right now and buy it. It's that good. Don't rent it cause then you will just have to go and buy it anyway. :)

149/365 - Twilight
Good thing we bought our two-disk special edition of Twilight yesterday at Wal-Mart because when were there there today they were all sold out! Sheesh! I've watched this movie twice since we got it yesterday. I don't know why, but I can sit through and watch the whole thing. That doesn't happen too often because I get bored and walk away. But it seems like every time I watch it I notice different things.

148/365 - Waikiki Library
We started off the day by picking up Twilight at Wal-Mart and having breakfast at 5:30AM. Then we headed over to Kapiolani Park to walk for the American Diabetes Association. After the walk, we played tourist and visited the Waikiki Aquarium. It was actually pretty cheap, just $6 for Kama'aina. Then we walked over the Teddy's Bigger Burger for lunch. Finally we went to the Waikiki Library. This is library #6 of the year and I have to say, I think this is one of my favorites. They had lots of books by authors that I like and it was clean.

147/365 - Chili's
My boyfriend and I went out on a date tonight to Chili's. :) We started with a skillet queso and then I had the Big Mouth Burger. It came with two huge strips of bacon and onion strings on top. Mmm! Of course, as always, it was too much food so I brought home more than half of it to eat later on. My date (hehehe) ate the Mushroom Jack Fajita. It looked really yummy and it came out on a sizzling platter so it made it even more fun.

146/365 - Nick Vujicic
When Nick Vujicic came to our church last week, I bought a couple of his DVD's to watch and share with others. So, the picture on the right is his newest DVD called Verve. I got to watch most of the first disc the other day and it was great. The sermon that he gave was similar to the one he gave in church, but touched on different points so it was good. He also did some interviews and one that I thought was interesting was with Bethany Hamilton, the teenager who is a professional surfer and lost her arm to a shark. Her testimony is so amazing, she even said at one point that if she could have her arm back she wouldn't because she can still surf and now she has a way to speak about the power of God. Amazing!

145/365 - 90 Minutes in Heaven
I just started reading this book last night and I'm already half way through. It's an amazing story about a man named Don Piper who got into a car accident, died and went to heaven. As far as I've read, it's more of a story about what happened to him, then about the actual 90 minutes in heaven. But it is still an amazing story and he really shows you the power of prayer. We'll see how it ends, but I really can see why God allowed Don Piper to come back to earth to share his testimony.

144/365 - Paperwork
Busy, busy, busy. I'm trying hard to be on things at work and finish up some projects that I've been meaning to do for a while but haven't had the time for. So, today was filing day. Well...I didn't actually do any filing today, so it was a prep for filing day. I just had so many papers that I had to organize them before I could even file! Hopefully I can finish this by the end of the week. Filing is not my only job so I have to do it in between other things that need to get done and things that just come up.

143/365 - Doggie Treats
The picture on the left is treats that we picked up at Petco yesterday. They had an area where they had all kinds of doggie treats for $4.99/lb. so we bought some. Since we have just two little dogs, we ended up buying about half a pound. Stitch and Poki love it! Especially the one that looks like it has cream filling in the middle and the one that looks like chocolate chip cookie. And it's weird because Stitch is usually a really picky eater, but with these treats he gets so excited.

Project 365 - Day 142 - Petco
Today was an awesome day. We started off the day at church where Nick Vujicic gave the sermon. If you haven't heard of him, he is an Australian guy who was born with no arms or legs. After struggling when he was a child, he now goes around giving talks and spreading the word of God. It's amazing!Afterwards, we headed down to Kapolei and had breakfast at the Kapolei Golf Club. Their food was great! After that we checked out Target and my favorite, Petco. This is the first Petco to be built in Hawaii and although the prices are not the same as in the mainland, it's still a pretty great store. I have to say though, that the employees at Target were really on it, everywhere we went they were asking us if we needed any help. It was actually kind of busy but they still asked! Not like at Wal-Mart where they ignore you. Target will definitely be getting more business if they keep up their excellent service.

Project 365 - Day 141 - Natural Hallucinogen
We were supposed to head up to the North Shore today to eat some Garlic Shrimp from Giovanni's but it was miserable rainy weather all day, so we'll have to reschedule. Good news, we did get to watch a whole lot of episodes of The Office. Yay! :)I was bored tonight and found this cool thing on YouTube. It's called Natural Hallucinogen and after you watch it for a while, your eyes trip out. Anyway, it's hard to explain so just click on the link and check it out.

Project 365 - Day 140 - The Sleeping Doll
My boyfriend has a friend at work who likes to read. So every few months, I get a bunch of books from him. I just finished reading this book by Jeffery Deaver called The Sleeping Doll. It's a murder/mystery type of book and at 580 pages, it's a bit long but very good. This is the first book by Jeffery Deaver that I've read and I like the way he writes. He has lots of plot twists which keep the story interesting. I wonder how he comes up with this stuff!

Project 365 - Day 139 - New Sketch Book!
We went to Wal-Mart tonight and I picked up a brand new sketch book and some new multi colored sharpie pens. :) For some reason ever since I was a kid I loved paper and pens. I guess I haven't grown out of that yet.I read somewhere that doodling is a way to boost your memory and a great relaxation technique, so I'm going to give it a try. I hope it goes well and that I actually use the book and pens.

Project 365 - Day 138 - Girl Scout Cookies
We got our Girl Scout cookies today! We even have a beautiful flag back drop (that my boyfriend and Dad insisted on holding up). It was $4 a box, same as last year I think, but the boxes do seem to have gotten smaller. But it's only once a year, so I had to buy me a bunch. My favorite is the Tagalong cookies. It's a cookie with peanut butter on top and covered in chocolate. Mmm!Don't forget to buy your Girl Scout cookies!

Project 365 - Day 137 - Manapua Morning
Our awesome boss at work bought us manapua, pork hash and rice cake this morning! Woo hoo! Every once in a while he will buy us manapua or donuts or something. So this was my breakfast this morning, pork hash, rice cake and a hot dog manapua. So, today was a great day, because I got to start it off with a great breakfast. If only every morning was a manapua morning.

Project 365 - Day 136 - C is for Cookie
It's a Monday and I baked cookies tonight! Whew...after a long day at work, I decided to bake some cookies. I haven't done it in a while and now I remember why I try to bake only on the weekends. It's a lot of work. Luckily my boyfriend cooked dinner so I could focus on my cookies.I made him a special cookie for cooking dinner. As you can see on the right it is a 6" circular cookie!!! It's chocolate chips, although you can't see the chocolate chips cause they are hidden. It doesn't look that big in the picture, but trust me, it's as big as my face. Hahaha!

Project 365 - Day 135 - The Hut
We had dinner from The Hut tonight, I guess that's what Pizza Hut is called these days. While we were eating dinner we were channel surfing and found an interesting show to watch on TLC. First it was the Half Ton Dad, then the Half Ton Teen and last Born a Boy, Brought up a Girl. All very interesting shows. It was kinda of gross to watch a show on morbidly obese people while eating pizza. Killed the appetite quickly. But the show on Born a boy, Brought up a girl was pretty interesting. It was exactly how the title said. A really sad story. I like watching TLC though because it's interesting to see how other people live. It really is "The Learning Channel."

Project 365 - Day 134 - Mini Golf
We started off the day with a fundraiser walk for the MDA at Pearlridge Mall. After the walk, we went to have breakfast at Farrell's. They seemed to be a bit short staffed so it took us a little over an hour to get our food, but when it did come, it was awesome! I had the Farrell's Special Omelette. After breakfast, we went to play mini golf. We played a full 18 holes and I came in third place! Of course, there was only three people playing, but still, the game was very close.
Overall it was a great day, full of new adventures!

Project 365 - Day 133 - I'm with the DJ.
My boyfriend is a DJ. :) He just set up his turn tables in the room today. We used to have it set up, but because he had gigs and stuff he took it down, but now it's back because he's practicing for another gig. It's kinda neat, but I have no idea how to work it. I've tried and learned that it just is not my thing. But he seems to have a natural talent for it, so I guess it's either you got it or you don't.
I'm very excited that today is Friday! I'm going to pretend that instead of it being the weekend, I have two days of vacation. :) I know it's the same thing, but it just seems funner if it's vacation instead of just a weekend.

Project 365 - Day 131 - Logic Problems
I LOVE LOGIC PROBLEMS! I just got a new logic problem book from Borders. I really think it helps my brain with thinking and processing things quicker. And it's really fun. Even though it's just for fun, it's fun when you can start a problem, work through it and figure out the answer all at the same time. Not like real life, where you have a problem and you have to work through it for a while and maybe it will get solved sooner or later. This logic problems are a quick pick me up. :)It's funny though, because the puzzles get hard fast and I hardly ever finish even half the book. :)

Project 365 - Day 130 - Walkin' in the House
I am finally starting to get a little more serious on New Year's Resolution #2, lose weight. Today was my fourth consecutive day of exercising! Hooray! I can't remember the last time I've exercised four days in a row. Sad, I know. The picture to the right are my two favorite exercising DVD's, Walk it off with George and Walk away the pounds with Leslie Sansone. Both are excellent for beginners and not so beginners. It's challenging but doable. Leslie Sansone's DVD uses upper body work while George Foreman's DVD focuses totally on leg work.
It's exciting to get up and moving. :)

Project 365 - Day 129 - Dead Until Dark
Just finished reading this book last night. It's called Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris and it's part of a series. And as you can kind of tell from the cover, it's about vampires. I like vampire stories (as opposed to zombies which I really don't like) and this story has vampires that are accepted (sort of) by humans. They also made a tv series on HBO on this book series. I haven't seen i yet but it's called TrueBlood and it has been renewed for a second season. The first season comes out on DVD in May I think.

Project 365 - Day 128 - The Counter
We tried out a new restaurant today, The Counter at Kahala Mall. It just recently opened and is co-owned by Daniel Dae Kim from Lost. This is a built your own burger place with lots of different choices. The picture above is the 50-50 fries with fries and onion strings and sweet fries (sweet potato).I had a picture of my burger, but the plate was so huge, it didn't do it any justice. But a big plate is necessary, because the burger is so thick that the toppings just fall out all over the place.
The Counter opens everyday at 11AM. When we got there at just before 11AM, there was already a long line of people. Luckily enough, we got in just in time so we didn't have to wait, but everyone after us did.
