I subscribed to Blockbuster Rentals. We have Netflix at home, but since I can't watch a lot of movies right when I get them, I decided to venture out on my own and get Blockbuster. The cool thing about Blockbuster is that you can return movies in store and even rent some in store as well so you can get movies when you want them. We'll see how it goes and if it's worth the money spent.

354/365 - Battling the Cold
I've been fighting off a cold that started it's attack on me last Friday. It's an up and down battle, with the cold winning more rounds then I am. But I'm not giving up! My strategy has been involving lots and lots of orange juice. I've been craving orange juice so it's not so much of a sacrifice. The weird thing about this cold is that I'm hungry. Usually I lose my appetite when I get sick, but not this time. I think along with making me cough up globs of phlegm, it's also trying to make me fat. Stupid Cold!

351/365 - Two Great Movies
These are two of the greatest animated movies ever. Ratatouille and Kung Fu Panda. They are both kids movies so they are really feel good and have a good message to them.On our trip to Las Vegas, I actually got to try Ratatouille for the first time at a buffet and I really like it! If it wasn't for the movie, I don't think I ever would have tried it. So not only are they good movies, they are expanding my palate as well. :)

350/365 - Busted Foot
On Wednesday, I was making my sandwich for lunch and when I went to get the mayonnaise out, the huge and heavy mustard bottle fell top first on to my foot. It was the twist top mustard so that slammed right into my foot. So now, I have a circular cut on my foot and my ankle is sore. It doesn't sound like it would hurt, but the mustard was the bigger size bottle and it was new. I hope this doesn't cause permanent damage to my ankle.

349/365 - Sunset
There was a beautiful sunset tonight. As soon as I stepped out of the garage door everything was a nice shade of pink. For some reason though, my camera didn't pick up all of the colors in the sky.My foot is feeling a little better then yesterday. Maybe tomorrow I will post a picture and tell the story of what happened.

348/365 - Hope Mayo
We just got a copy of Hope Mayo's debut album, End of the Day. I've been waiting for this to come out for a while now and I'm so excited to finally have a copy in hand! My fiance and I have been Hope fans for a while now and she will be playing the song My One and Only for our first dance at our wedding.

347/365 - Cute Dog
Stitch just looked so cute tonight that I had to take his picture. Or course, this is when he was trying to get food off my plate, so he was probably making cute faces purpose.I tried Turbo Jam for the first time today and I thought it was pretty good. A little different from the intensity I'm used to doing Insanity, but still a great workout. I'm very excited to try all of the other workouts that I got.

346/365 - Manila Folder Cut
I dread filing things. Only because, every time I do, I end up with at least one paper cut or smashed finger. This time though, it was a manila folder cut. Yikes! As you know, manila folders are really thick and heavy duty so it hurt pretty bad. Didn't really bleed much, but I still scrubbed it with alcohol like crazy. You just never know what kind of germs are lurking around on old files.*Note: The cut is on my thumb, right near my knuckle. You can barely see it in the picture, but trust me, it stings.

345/365 - Maui Tacos on Maui
For lunch today, we had Maui Tacos on Maui! Cool! I actually think that it was better on Maui then it is here. But I really haven't eaten it in a while so I guess that could be it too. It was really fun though to eat at Maui Tacos on Maui.I also got a really cool backpack that my fiance bought me. Maybe I'll post a picture of that some other day.
344/365 - Krispy Kreme and Cousin's Wedding
I love Krispy Kreme! There is nothing like a hot Krispy Kreme doughnut. This was the first time I've been to Maui since Krispy Kreme came to Hawaii so it was neat to see the store and to watch the doughnuts being made.We had my cousin's wedding tonight. It was right near the beach and very nice. I guess I'm the next one in the family to get married...

343/365 - Packing for Maui
We are heading out early tomorrow morning to the beautiful Island of Maui. My cousin is getting married tomorrow so we are going for that and a little mini vacation. I'm very excited because I haven't been to Maui in like 10 years. The thing I dislike about taking trips is packing. I always feel like I'm forgetting something and at the same time I feel like I'm packing too much.

342/365 - Close up
Yet another picture of my dog Poki. He's just so cute I couldn't resist. When he is calm like this I love him, but at times he can be a pain. I think he has anxiety so he's always pacing around crying and whining and always wanting to go in the room, then go out of the room. It gets tiring having to get up to let him in and out. But I love him and the one thing good about him, is that he always comes when you call him.

341/365 - Recycled Notebook
This is my new notebook that I bought for work. I got it at Office Depot today and it is made out of 100% recycled materials. Cool! It was actually the only 'steno' type notebook they had so I didn't really have much of a choice. But I do like the cool cover on it so it's all good.Got my haircut today. My cousin's wedding this weekend so I gotta look good. :)

338/365 - Superhero Party
We went to our friend's son's first birthday party. It was a superhero themed party so a few people were dressed up. They also had some games out so we played a little Boggle Jr. and Connect Four. It's been a while since I played Connect Four and it was a lot of fun.Back to work tomorrow. The weekend went by so fast.

337/365 - Recycled Surfboard
We went shopping/holo holo today for the first time in a long time. The picture on the left is of a surfboard that we saw at T&C. It's actually made up of empty plastic bottles and bottle caps. Pretty cool! Also, got to buy a new dress for my cousin's wedding next weekend. I'm pretty excited to be going. It should be lots of fun.

335/365 - Missed!
Oh my goodness! While I was doing my picture of the day blog tonight (9/25), I realized that I totally missed 9/24!!! So, this is a blast from the past picture to fill in. Coincidentally it is also how my face looked when I realized I forgot.Anyway, this picture was from two Halloweens ago when we had to decorate pumpkins for work. I found out late and had only one night to pull something together. Luckily with everyone's help, we made a cute Mike Wazowski pumpkin. Mike Wazowski is from Monsters, Inc. just in case you didn't know. And if you haven't seen that movie, you should, it was great!

334/365 - My Sister's Keeper
I accidentally deleted my original picture of the day (my Naked Orange Juice from Starbucks) so I went with this one as a back up. I'm about half way through this book, My Sister's Keeper. It's so good that I'm having a hard time putting it down. Basically it's about this girl who is suing her parents for rights to herself, because her parents had her so she could be a donor to her sister who has cancer. They came out with a movie based on the book but I haven't seen it yet. And once again, I bought this book for just $1 at Book Off. Gotta love it!

332/365 - Sore Foot
That is a picture of my left foot. The other day at the water park, I mis-judged the depth of the pool and sank to the bottom. It seems weird, but I ended up hitting the top of my foot on the bottom of the pool in my moment of panic. So I have a scrape and a bruise and when I wear my workout shoes I can feel it. I thought I had hurt my ankle at first, but it was just the bruise on my foot. :P

330/365 - Water Park
What a great day today! I got to go to the Wet 'n Wild Water Park for the first time with a bunch of friends. We had lots of fun riding rides and just hanging out. The day went by too fast. Then tonight we did our last 'workout' of Insanity. We just have the last Fit Test left. The 60 days went by really quickly but we will still be working out together doing other programs.

329/365 - Origami
I made this box and flower today doing origami. It was actually pretty easy to do and fun too. So, that got me thinking about folding the 1001 paper cranes for my wedding. It's a big task, but I think I might regret it if I don't do it. Plus it will be a nice thing to have framed when we have our own house.

328/365 - BodyBugg
I have wanted one of these for a few months now, but didn't really have the money to buy it. So, since I won some money in Vegas, I decided to just go ahead and buy this one thing that I wanted but didn't need. Anyway, bodybugg is a calorie management system. You strap the monitor on your arm and it monitors your calories burned all day. The contestants on The Biggest Loser use this also. I guess I will have more to talk about this tomorrow when I actually get to try it out for the first time.

326/365 - Slim Fast Bars
At my request, my fiance bought be some Slim Fast bars (I had to put in 'at my request' because I didn't want everyone to think that he bought it because he thinks I'm fat, which he doesn't). These bars are totally delicious and kept me full until lunch time! I remember I used to eat these back in the college days. I forgot about it, but now since I'm looking for more of a variety of snacks, I thought I'd try it again. I've only tried to chocolate cookie dough, but I will try the different flavors later.
325/365 - Montana Solitaire
I found this different version of solitaire somehow today. It's called Montana Solitaire and the way you play it is you deal out cards in four rows and take out the aces. After that, the goal is to line up each row by suit starting on the left with 2 and ending on the right with the highest number. The catch is that you can only put a card in an empty space to the right if it's the same suit and one number higher. It's really fun and I found a free application on the iPhone so I can play it. :) If you are confused but want to learn more, just type 'Montana Solitaire' in Google.

324/365 - Back to Work/Working Out
Monday morning and I'm back to work and working out. Had a very good productive day at work. I always feel so good on the first day back at work after a vacation. I guess I'm refreshed from the break.Insanity workout tonight was INSANE! I did a couple of workouts while on vacation, but I was also eating pretty much anything I wanted and it showed it's ugly face tonight. I was pretty drained 3/4 of the way through. Next step is to get my diet back on track so I can keep up with the workouts.

323/365 - Home at Last
We got home early this morning and had to pick up the dogs from their boarding/day care place. They were so happy to see us and looked like they lost weight from all the playing they did. Both Poki and Stitch were so tired, they slept all day! Now we just got to keep the weight off of them and give them some exercise so they don't fall back into lazy habits.
322/365 - Winner!
Our last day/night in Vegas. It's around 10:15PM and we are leaving for the airport at midnight. I decide to give the Megabucks one last shot and put $21 in the machine. I played it down to about $6 and brought it back up to $15 when this came out, 3X + 7 Bar + Megabucks 5X. Cool! I knew I won something but the credit number wasn't changing. So I look below and it says call attendant, winner: $1800! I WON! COOL!

321/365 - Carnegie Deli
Lunch today was at Carnegie Deli. We all shared food so we ordered the Woody Allen. And that sandwich was huge! It comes with pastrami and corned beef.Tonight was also the birthday dinner that we had for my Dad. We ate at the Grotto at the Golden Nugget Hotel. I would have taken some pictures of the food, but it was soo delicious that I was distracted and forgot. But we had a good time with family and friends.

319/365 - Holy Cannoli
We had a buffet lunch at M's Resort today and it was the best buffet I've ever had in my life! The amount of food they had and the variety was unbelievable. I also got to try Ratatouille for the first time and cannoli. I remember watching the Cake Boss episode with cannoli's in it a bunch of times, but I could never find a place in Hawaii where the sold it. So I was very very hapy to find it here. And I love it! Cannoli's are awesome! Hopefully I can find somewhere in Hawaii that sells them.

318/365 - Las Vegas!
We're in Las Vegas!!! Got a limo ride over to the hotel when we arrived. We'll be in Vegas for 5 days to celebrate my Dad's birthday. We have a lot planned (mostly places we want to eat) so it should be a busy week. There was no internet in our hotel, so I'm having to post our Vegas Vacation all at once now.

317/365 - Tea & Dad's B-Day
Almost forgot to take a picture today, so I had to take a picture of this great tea that I had today. I bought it a couple weeks ago at Lupicia at Ala Moana Center. We made it as iced tea so I had some for dinner and it was yummy!Today was also my Dad's birthday so we cooked him dinner and had dinner together. Then we played a little craps and sang a little karaoke. Fun times.

316/365 - Dry Brushing
I read an article the other day about this thing called dry brushing. What you do is you get a natural hair brush and brush your body going towards your heart before you take a bath. This is supposed to stimulate blood flow and help your body to release toxins easier. So after I read this, of course I went out and bought me a brush. Surprisingly, Wal-Mart had a natural hair brush for just about $4. Sweet! So I tried this for the past three night and I feel great! I feel cleaner then normal and have even lost a little weight. :) Although that could be from other things, I'm attributing it to the brushing. If you are interested, you can read the article here.

315/365 - Mobile Gamer Guys
Had a birthday party today for one of my friend's son. Besides the slushee machine and ice cream machine, he also had a mobile video game thingy. They drove up in this huge red bus and unloaded some equipment outside. So we got to play Guitar Hero outside and they played Halo inside. We had a blast! Nobody was really shame so we sang and jammed on the guitars. Good times.

314/365 - Subway
After our group workout tonight, we ate dinner at Subway. It was a delicious and pretty much healthy dinner. I can't eat it all the time, but when I do eat at Subway I really like it.We also headed over to Wal-Mart to buy a birthday present for my friend's son's party tomorrow. I know, I'm so last minute, but at least it's before his party and not after. :)

313/365 - Insane Workout & Genki Sushi
We had an "insane" workout tonight with some people who shall not be named. But let's just say it was intense and a whole lot of fun. Afterwards, we hit up Genki Sushi with the crew and ate. As you can see from the picture we ate a lot. These were most of the plates from our table of four; we couldn't stack them all. This was about $100 worth of sushi. :)I had a great time tonight working out and hanging out with great friends.

312/365 - Bravo's
We had dinner with a couple of friends tonight at Bravo's. One of our friends brought his 3 year old son. The picture on the right is of him coloring. He was going crazy with the coloring. If you look closely, the blur on the upper right part of the picture is his hand moving extremely fast. We had a great time sitting and talking story.

311/365 - Cherrios
I've been trying to change up my eating recently so I don't get bored of certain foods. Normally, I have a Chocolate Shakeology for breakfast which is totally delicious! But I forgot to order more, so for this week, I'm having Cheerios with a little bit of milk. And it's pretty good. It's been a really long time since I've had cereal for breakfast. Probably since like college days. But Cherrios are pretty good and they are good for you which makes me feel good for eating them.

310/365 - Ruffles Light
These chips are delicious! When we went grocery shopping yesterday, I noticed these Ruffles Light chips on the shelf. I've never heard of it before but with half the calories of regular chips and no fat I had to try it. I had them with my lunch today and the really did taste just like regular Ruffles. Now I have a healthier alternative to chips instead of just rice cakes. Hooray!

309/365 - Learning Craps
Craps is fun. Well, rolling the dice is fun. The betting part is so confusing! I wonder who invented the game and how they decided all the rules. It seems to me that they just made them all up. I haven't even begun to learning yet and I'm already confused! I just roll the dice and watch for how everyone reacts to see if it was good or not. I just know that I either want to roll a 7 or 11 on the first roll and not a 7 or 11 after that. I guess I'll learn more as I play more, but I know definitely won't be playing in Vegas anytime soon.

308/365 - Higher Ground
We started out the day helpng out at the KCC Farmer's Market. Then we went over to Ala Moana to visit our friends kiosk. We did our Insanity workout at home and headed out to check out a friend play some music at Higher Ground. The picture on the right is Hope Mayo at Higher Ground. She is a phenominal musician, check out her website at www.hopemayomusic.com.

307/365 - NCIS
I watched a couple of episodes of NCIS: Season 2 tonight. My Mom's friend let us borrow so they've been watching it consistently and I've been watching an episode here and there. I don't want to get sucked into having to watch tv so I try to stay away. But this show is pretty good and I like Mark Harmon.Anyway, so tonight I realized how these types of shows hook you in. First, they give you just enough clues so you can pretty much guess who the bad guy is; this makes you feel smart. Then they throw in a plot twist at the end so you did guess the bad guy, but there is more to the story; this hooks you in because you never would have guessed this twist but you think...maybe I'll get it next time. So between the "making you feel smart" and the "hook", they've got you addicted.

306/365 - Golf Carts
I was working out a different office t0day and one of my co-workers called me down to check out something cool. When I got downstairs, I saw these two golf carts. One is a Hummer and the other is a Cadillac Escalade. So, I had to run back upstairs and grab my camera because I wasn't about to miss this. We don't own them so it's going back soon I guess.Anyway, today was a long day so I'm going sleep!

305/365 - Eat, Pray, Love
I bought this book a while ago at Book Off but just got around to reading it. I've heard around that it was a good book and have seen it on some best seller lists so when I saw it on sale for $1 I had to buy it.I was almost finished with it when I realized that it was missing the ending! It ended mid-sentence and the next page was the first page of the book again and continued on through the first chapter. I'm glad that I didn't really like the story to begin with or I would be really bummed. As it is, I'm glad I only paid $1 for it. Hopefully the rest of the books I bought from Book Off will have all of their pages.
